Meeting the Reaper

by Colleen Barry
Written 09-17-06

Death did whisper in my ear,

And kissed my lips to taste my fear;

And succulently He licked my lips

While running icy hands down bony hips.

And shrouding me in a haze of black,

He stood me still and stiffened my back.

And reaching claws into my chest,

Snatched my heart putting body to rest.
