Quidam's View

Prisoner

by Colleen Barry
Written ?

His demeanor is meaner,

I’m pushing, he’s pulling

Running for take off, while he holds me down.

These shackles are binding,

The clock it is winding

Back to the past at a rate too fast!

He says he will let go,

If only I’ll follow

So he won’t be lonely, walking these streets.

Now, I’m not a fighter,

But this noose is getting tighter

As he tries to persuade me and pull me along!

Let go, let go, let up and let go

Loosen the noose and set me free.

Let go, let go, let up and let go

Release and let’s cease this attraction we shared.
