I should have seen it coming; I should
have read the signs...
Everything was an omen...
It was all right before my eyes.
I should have stopped instead of yield;
Progressed no further when the sign did
wield
In big, bold letters, "Danger Ahead..."
But I trusted in my faith instead.
I proceeded to move until a brick wall
I found...
And up and over I threw myself falling
violently to the ground.
These highway travels have come to their
end…
The road may be blocked but there’s
more beyond the bend…
And crossing that barrier to keep movin’
on,
Is the only thing I got left… a
road on the horizon.
