The Night Terror

Pull him from his sleep it did,

And startle him to cognition.

But pulling close his rock and ground,

Found quickly his stabilization.

 

And drift he did, back to solemn sleeping

For peace he felt again.

Not knowing that every day (not just in nightly creeping)

Is a terror when I don’t have him.
